Fruit Abundance Fruit Harvest With Delicious and Healthy Desserts

Autumn fruit harvest is a great reason with delicious and healthy desserts. But for this to be only useful, you need to know how to handle the seasonal gifts of gardens.

Moms do not in vain try in September to feed their children more often with seasonal fruits: in terms of the content of substances useful to the body, they are much superior to their overseas relatives. Therefore, adults often strive to give their child, as they say, "all the best at once." But in the pursuit of fortification do not forget about the sense of proportion.

Debunking a Myth:

One of the most common myths that useful substances are deposited in the body in a “depot”, that is, in reserve, and will then be spent a little bit all year, unfortunately, has no basis. Vitamin C, which seasonal fruits are so rich in, does not accumulate in the human body. Moreover, our body can only store fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and B 12, and then only a few weeks. In addition, fruits cannot provide the whole spectrum of nutrients necessary for a growing body, which means that other groups of products must be present in the baby's diet.

Fruit Rules:

  • At the first acquaintance with the fruit, follow the same precautions as when introducing complementary foods: start with small quantities. If there is no negative reaction, gradually increase the volume to 100 g per day. This is the limit for a child 1-3 years old.
  • Divide the daily portion of fruit into several receptions, for example, for lunch and afternoon snack.
  • Heat treatment facilitates assimilation: fresh fruit can be boiled jelly, compote, bake them. During heat treatment, dietary fiber is destroyed, which means that they can no longer negatively affect the intestines of the child.
  • If the child is prone to allergies, try to avoid fruits with a red color, and also remove the skin from all fruits.

Different Reaction:

Excessive passion for fresh fruits can negatively affect digestion. Ripe fruits are rich in natural sugars, and it may happen that, having a snack with a sweet fruit, the baby will refuse the breakfast, lunch or dinner offered to him. In addition, children have a very sensitive digestive tract, and an excess of organic acids, which are also found in large quantities in seasonal fruits, will not do him any good. Dietary fiber, also part of the fruit, especially not quite ripe, can stimulate the intestines. As a result, the child will have an upset stomach. Ripe plums, apples, apricots and pears have a similar effect. Fruits containing a lot of tannins fix the chair: quince, blackthorn, pomegranate, unripe pears, some grape varieties. So give the baby fruit treats little by little, while taking into account their properties.
