Another Way to Improve the Intestines in A Baby

Seasonal fruits and berries give us a great chance to establish the intestines in a natural way. But when it comes to the baby, you need to choose the edible "medicine" very carefully.

Fruits and berries can affect intestinal motility, due to this, with disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, many of them are used as preventive or even therapeutic products. The laxative effect of fruits depends on the level of dietary fiber, including fiber and pectin, simple carbohydrates (natural sugars - glucose, fructose, etc.) and fruit acids. The former stimulate the activity of the intestines, the latter retain water, due to which the stool softens, and the third increase the production of digestive juices, which greatly facilitate the digestion of food.

Berries and fruits rich in tannins - tannins, such as cornel, quince, pears, have a fixing effect. These substances "tighten" the stool and thereby inhibit peristalsis, as well as disinfect the intestines and reduce inflammation.

To each his own:

With a tendency to constipation, peaches, apricots and figs in fresh or dried form will help the baby. In addition, melon, watermelon and grapes will have a laxative effect. Red and white currants, apples, cherries, cherries and citruses have a milder effect. True, it must be borne in mind that melon, watermelon, grapes, and to a lesser extent plum increase gas formation in the intestine.

It is recommended that crumbs prone to loose stool include fruit and berry purees from blackcurrant, gooseberry, pear, banana and, of course, blueberries - champions for tannins - and baked apples.

Consumption rules:

For the best effect in case of constipation, it is recommended that in the morning on an empty stomach (nerve receptors of the “empty” intestines are more susceptible to stimulation), offer 2-3 fresh or dried plums to the baby. Dried fruits, so that they are better absorbed, must first be held in warm water. Another option is to give prune puree, porridge or cottage cheese with apricots, peaches or raisins as a dessert. With a loose stool, fresh blueberries, oven-baked apples, unsweetened jelly and dried fruit compote will come to the rescue.
